Little Italy's Le Coucou Ranked Among America's Top 100 Restaurants
OpenTable.com just released its annual list of the "100 Best Restaurants in America for 2016."

LITTLE ITALY, NY — Le Coucou in Little Italy might be one of the newer restaurants in the neighborhood, but it has quickly grabbed the attention of New Yorkers who have gravitated towards its unique, European feel — so much so that it has garnered national recognition as one of the "100 Best Restaurants in America for 2016" by OpenTable.com.
The "classic French cuisine" restaurant, at 138 Lafayette St., just opened months ago but still made it on the list, which is "based on an analysis of reviews of more than 24,000 restaurants across the United States," according to OpenTable.com. Le Coucou has a 4.7 rating out of 5 among verified patrons who left reviews on OpenTable.com.
Chef Daniel Rose has established a name for himself in Paris, France, but decided to try his hand in New York City with Le Coucou. Overall, the reception has been very positive: One reviewer on OpenTable.com heaped praise on restaurant, saying they provided "The best meal experience we've had in NYC!" Another reviewer said "The service was superb and the staff warm and friendly. Excellent choice."

"The 100 Best Restaurants in America for 2016 are consistently putting out delicious dishes, providing impeccable service, and paying attention to every detail to orchestrate one-of-a-kind dining experiences time and again," OpenTable.com says. "Our list of honorees is based on an analysis of 10,000,000+ reviews of more than 24,000 restaurants across the country — all submitted by verified diners."
Restaurant-goers rated the restaurant's ambience as its beset quality, but also praised its food and service efforts as well. 94 percent of reviewers said that they would recommend the restaurant to a friend.
