Man Found Dead in Room at SoHo's Ritzy James New York Hotel

A 34-year-old man was found dead on Sunday at the upscale hotel, reportedly after a night of partying.

SOHO, NY — A 34-year-old guest was found dead in a room at the upscale James New York hotel in SoHo on Sunday, police said.

The man was found face down on a couch in a room in the hotel at 27 Grand St., according to the NYPD. The death was ruled as not suspicious, but police are still investigating. PIX11 reported the man was found after a night of partying when in town visiting friends.

Since the death was not ruled as suspicious, and it was unknown if family was notified, a name couldn't be released by police.

The James New York, which overlooks Duarte Square, is a five-star hotel with a restaurant by David Burke, its own nightclub and a rooftop pool. Regular hotel rooms go for about $350 per night, with the penthouse costing $5,000 per night.
