Man Hits Woman With A Metal Police Barrier In NoHo: NYPD

The man was seen dragging a police barrier across the street in front of 19 Bleecker St.

NOHO — Police are searching for a man who was reported to have dragged a metal police barrier across the street and then struck a woman in the back with it late last month, police said.

The man was seen dragging a police barrier across the street in front of 19 Bleecker St. on surveillance video.

He then hit a woman, 26, with the barrier, cutting open her back and causing pain on Sun., Jan. 20 before noon, police said.

The man, around 20, approximately 5-feet and 5-inches tall and 140 pounds with dark curly hair, fled the scene, according to police. He was last seen with a black track suit jacket with white stripes, a grey-hooded sweatshirt, grey Champion sweatpants and black sneakers.

Police said the woman's injuries were minor, and she did not want medical attention.
