Man Stabbed In SoHo Subway Station, Police Say

The man is expected to survive the stabbing.

SOHO, NY — A man was hospitalized after being stabbed in a SoHo subway station Wednesday afternoon, an NYPD spokesman said.

The man was stabbed in the Spring Street A/C/E station on Sixth Avenue shortly before 5 p.m., police said. An NYPD spokesman could not provide information on the extent of the man's injuries but said he is not likely to die.

A male suspect was seen fleeing the subway station and has not been arrested, an NYPD spokesman said.

Trains skipped the Spring Street station while first responders operated at the scene, MTA officials said. Regular service resumed at 5:06 p.m., transit officials said.
