SOHO, NY —Eating out in New York City isn't easy. With thousands of restaurants and a churn of openings and closings. keeping up with choices isn't easy.

The Lost Lady

Location: 171 Ave. C, East Village

What To Eat: Seafood. This new East Village bar comes with a nautical theme offering drinks like the Sailor's Choice (ginger beer with lime, bitters and your choice of liquor, according to Grub Street) and small plates like fish tacos. The newly-opened bar comes from the same minds behind the nearby Wayland bar.

Flip Sigi

Location: 1752 Second Ave., Upper East Side

What to eat: Filipino foods. Flip Sigi is the sister restaurant of Second City, the small West Village restaurant that will also be getting a second location and more space in the new outpost. The menu includes dishes like the Sinigang Flip Bowl, burgers and tacos.


Calito

Location: Canal Street Food Market at 265 Canal St., SoHo 265

What to eat: A blend of California and Mexican flavors. You can get standard Mexican food fare like tacos, nachos and quesadillas. The co-chef, Hector Balderas, designed the menu using his cooking experiences from both his Mexican hometown of Zapotitlan, Oaxaca, and his work at Buena Vista in the Bronx, according to the restaurant.


Shake Shack

Location: Madison Square Park

What to eat: Burgers. The NYC standby isn't new, but this weekend only it has a special offer: eel burgers. The Madison Square Park outpost is partnering with chef Fergus Henderson to sell smoked eel topped with smoked bacon, pickled red onions, crème fraîche, fresh horseradish and watercress, available this weekend only "while supplies last."
