NOHO, NY — A free coworking space has opened up in a retail store on Bond Street.

The retailer Showfields — known for rotating various pop-ups in its space — opened a free coworking space on the fourth floor of its store at 11 Bond St. between Lafayette Street and Broadway.

The only condition is signing up for Showfields' newsletter.

The coworking space features free WiFi, seating, and a roofdeck terrace. The coworking area officially opened its doors Tuesday. Its hours will be Monday from 12 to 4 p.m. and Tuesday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Showfields new venture builds on its origins of "disrupting retail," as the store puts it. The store brings in online brands to a brick-and-mortar space through pop-up shops that rotate every few months.
