SoHo Pizzeria Celebrates Carrie Fisher, Gives Free Slices to Patrons Dressed in "Star Wars" Attire
Champion Pizza will give a free slice to Star Wars fans mourning the loss of Carrie Fisher.
SOHO, NY — A SoHo pizza parlor is offering free slices to those honoring the death of Carrie Fisher, best known for her role as Princess Leia in the "Star Wars" franchise. Fisher, 60, died after suffering a heart attack on a flight home to Los Angeles Tuesday.

Champion Pizza at 17 Cleveland Pl. will give out free slices to fans dressed in "Star Wars" costumes, starting at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, PIX11 reports. The pizzeria plants to give over 10,000 slices to fans in the next 48 hours.

The owner of Champion Pizza, Hakki Akdeniz, is a big fan of "Star Wars." The pizza place's staff will also be dressed in costume, according to PIX11.
