Soho's Color Factory Will Feature 16 Rooms Of Interactive Art
The multicolored museum will include a floating balloon room, a ball pit and a luminous dance floor come August.

SOHO, NY — The vibrant San Francisco pop-up moving to Soho this August is jammed packed with immersive art including an ombre floating balloon room, a luminous dance floor and the installation's signature ball room, said the organizers behind the multicolored museum.

The instagram famous Color Factory has assembled a roster of artists who've developed 16 installations for the pop up, including a "secret color" room by New York Times contributor Molly Young, booths offering vivid treats such as custom made ice cream and "a guided activity on color and connection" by Queens artist Christine Wong Yap.

Nearly a dozen creatives have signed on to collaborate with the Soho Color Factory including artist Lakwena Maciver, graphic designer Erin Jang and prop stylist Randi Brookman Harris. Visitors can also take their exploration of color outside of the pop up with a neighborhood map that features 10 color destinations hidden through Lower Manhattan.
