Think Coffee Opens 11th NYC Location In SoHo
Think Coffee SoHo opened this week where a Starbucks once stood.
SOHO, NY — Think Coffee has opened an anticipated 11th location in New York City.
Think Coffee opened at 471 Broadway between Grand and Broome streets Monday, taking over a former Starbucks at the location.
"The space is beautiful," said Dylan Schultz, a representative for the company. "Given the fact that it's on Broadway and there's so much foot traffic ... it just seemed like there was a lot of energy right there."

Previously, the Think Coffee was a Starbucks, and the smaller coffee chain had been eyeing the space since at least August 2017, the Commercial Observer reported at the time.
The new coffee shop location is among its larger locations, on par with the size of Think's locations on Eighth Avenue in Meatpacking and Mercer Street near New York University.

"The size is really exciting," said Schultz.
There are about 60 seats at the 2,000-square-foot location, with bar seating, booths, and chairs with cushions, he said.
Think Coffee was founded in 2006, aiming to be a socially minded coffee shop. While some projects are global — from Ethiopia to Nicaragua to Colombia — the company also has a pilot program where each shop's coffee crew votes on what organization to donate 1 percent of profits.
Where the new SoHo digs' will donate is currently being set up.
"We wanted to empower the staff because they see all these projects that we do overseas but this also gives them a personal investment of what we’re doing over here," Shultz said.
