Train Conductor Sucker-Punched at Spring Street Station: Police
The 49-year-old victim had his head out of the service window when the seemingly unprovoked assault took place on Oct. 26, cops said.
SOHO, NY — A man riding a southbound A train during the morning rush hour last month exited the train at the Spring Street subway station, walked toward the conductor, and allegedly sucker-punched him right in the face — for no apparent reason at all.
The New York City Police Department (NYPD) is seeking any possible leads as they search for the suspect, who was caught on surveillance footage. The 49-year-old victim had his head out of the service window when the seemingly unprovoked assault took place on Oct. 26, according to the police.
A police spokesperson told Patch that there is no evidence that anything was said between the suspect and the victim before the assault and that there is no known motive at this time.
