Zayn Malik Buys Soho Condo For $10.7 Million

SOHO, NY — The singer Zayn Malik shelled out $10.7 million for a Soho condo the same day that his breakup with model Gigi Hadid was made public, according to city records.

The former One Direction singer shelled out nearly $10.7 million for the penthouse apartment at 57 Greene St., according to documents filed with the city.

The New York Post was first to report Malik's post-breakup purchase.

Hadid and Malik announced the end of their two-year relationship on Tuesday, with each posting a personal message on their Twitter accounts.

"I have a huge amount of respect and adoration for Gigi as a woman and a friend," Malik wrote. "We wish this news could have come from us first."

Malik used an LLC called "Drop Zed Properties" to purchase the penthouse, and the deed for the condo was signed by his personal asssitant, according to city records.
