May 7, 2019: Bridgehampton’s High School and Middle School students experienced the Game of Life in both work and play—as healthcare professionals and in budgets related to living expenses and summer vacations.

The following healthcare representatives met with small groups of students and shared their careers, industry details and financial aspects of their jobs:

High School students also learned about budgeting for life by using fictitious profiles and living expenses. Middle school students learned about budgeting for a summer vacation by playing a matching game of $ and summer-related images, and then figuring out their budgets based on a set amount of money.

In addition, sponsors who are financial representatives, including Christina Lentini from State Farm, Jean Dowd from Fairway Mortgage, Stephen Sans from Hamptons Tax and Advisory Services and Ed O’Neill from JVC Broadcasting assisted the high school students with their budgets. Linda Bonanno from First Company Pink/Got Checked shared her personal story as the motivational speaker, demonstrating that you can overcome healthcare challenges and move on with your life. Students were served lunch based on student budgets and promotional rewards were given to students who remained within their budgets.

Thank you to BNB Bank for their generous sponsorship of the snack for both career days and their support of financial literacy for all ages.
