Kids Create Unity Tree To Fight Back Against Bullying
Students were asked to write thoughts on brightly hued leaves about how they would address bullying situations.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — Southampton students took a proactive stance against bullying recently.
As part of Bullying Prevention Month, the Southampton Intermediate School Guidance Department worked with students to create a unity tree in the front lobby of the school. Following discussions about anti-bullying, students were asked to write a sentence or two on a colorful leaf about how they would address a bullying situation, the district said.
All of the leaves are displayed on the tree, which will remain in the lobby throughout the school year.
