Last Call (Again,) at Cyril's
Popular Napeague watering hole to lose its liquor license

It has been reported in The East Hampton Star and the New York Post that Cyril’s Fish House, the popular Napeague watering hole, is to lose its liquor license which expires in October.
The venue has successfully fought numerous attempts to bar it from doing business in the past, most recently defending itself in May against a restraining order from the New York State Supreme Court prohibiting its use of its outdoor bar and patio.
On Tuesday, the New York State Liquor Authority voted 2-1 to pull Cyril’s liquor license after the establishment was prosecuted for 83 charges and found guilty of 73.

A spokesman for the SLA told The Star that Cyril’s could reapply for a license, but that its history would be taken into account.
The Town of East Hampton has sought to close down the popular drinking spot for a long time. Each summer crowds of beer-buzzed, sunburned vacationers park their cars along the Montauk Highway and then gather at Cyril’s to party with friends or try to hook-up.
