Man Caught With Heroin After Traffic Stop: Police
He was also driving with a suspended license, police say.
FLANDERS, NY — A Flanders man was arrested after he was found with heroin following a traffic stop Monday, police said.
According to Southampton Town Police, at 7 a.m., Christopher McErlean, 37, was stopped for driving in the center turning lane at Evergreen and Flanders Roads in Flanders. He was found to be driving with a suspended New York State license and in possession of a quantity of heroin, police said.
McErlean was arrested and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, police said.
