Man Charged With DWI After 2-Car Crash: Police
He hit a car he was following in Riverside Sunday, police say.
FLANDERS, NY — A Riverhead man was charged with driving while intoxicated after a two-car crash in Riverside Sunday, police said.
According to Southampton Town Police, the crash took place at 4:03 p.m. at the intersection of Flanders Road and Peconic Avenue when Dixon A. Contreras-Garcia, 37, who was intoxicated, rear-ended a vehicle that he was following on Flanders Road, causing minor damage to both vehicles.
Contreras-Garcia was arrested, transported to police headquarters for arrest processing, and charged with felony aggravated driving while intoxicated, police said.

He was held for morning arraignment, police said.
