Man Charged With Felony DWI After Crash: Police
He fled the scene in Flanders, police say.
FLANDERS, NY — A Flanders man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after a crash Thursday, police said.
According to Southampton Town Police, at 1:26 p.m., a 911 call came in about an "erratic motorist" driving south on Flanders Road in Flanders. A short while later the driver struck another vehicle and fled the scene without stopping, police said.
Octavio Solano, 37, was located on Oak Avenue in Flanders; Solano was arrested and charged with felony DWI; leaving the scene of an accident with property damage, a violation; drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle, a violation; second-degree unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor; and circumventing an interlock device, a misdemeanor, police said.

Solano was processed and held for morning arraignment, police said.
