Man Charged With Grand Larceny Reportedly Stole Car: Police

He was arrested and charged with third-degree grand larceny, a felony, in Southampton, police say.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — A Southampton man was arrested after he reportedly stole a car, police said.

A call came in at 5 p.m. Wednesday regarding a stolen vehicle, police said. Upon investigation, police said learned that Philip Danisi, 52, had taken the vehicle without permission, authorities said. Danisi was stopped on Savannah Lane in Southampton, arrested, and charged with third-degree grand larceny, a felony, and third-degree possession of stolen property, police said.

He was transported to Southampton Town police headquarters and held overnight for arraignment, police said.
