Mariners Field Hockey Wins L.I. Class 'C' Championship
Southampton beats Friends Academy for the title.
After besting Pierson on Monday to become the Section XI class "C" champions, the Southampton field hockey team went on to defeat Friends Academy, 2-1, on Tuesday and take the Long Island class "C" championship.
The Mariners now advance to the state semi-finals in Cicero on Saturday against Barker High School, of Niagara County.
