Matt Lauer's Selling Hamptons Home

This North Sea charmer is on sale for $3.9 million.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY – Now that Matt Lauer and his wife, Annette, have been unveiled as the new owners of Richard Gere’s former North Haven estate Strongheart Manor, a 6.2 acre waterfront beauty within minutes of Sag Harbor's Main Street that they snagged for "half-off" the original $65 million price tag, the savvy real-estate moguls have now put their North Sea home up for sale.

It’s located approximately ten miles from their new property, which cost about ten times the price of this one.

The 1,800 square-foot house they are selling has three bedrooms/two bathrooms and is on three quarters of an acre overlooking a lake with a private dock where you can moor a boat. The house is accessed down a long driveway for optimum privacy.

Variety is reporting Lauer picked up the charming Cape-Cod-style home for $2.15 million in 2009 —which would be almost a 50 percent profit if they sell it at their asking price of $3.95 million. But the couple also own a 24.6 acre Watermill estate which they purchased back in the 1990s — and in 2012 they bought 40 acres of nearby farmland for $3.5 million. They have since built a world-class equestrian facility called Bright Side Farms there.
