If you love everything great steaks, sausage and ribs and haven't made it Peconic Prime Meats get over there and find out why it is the Hampton's premier butcher shop. With lots of recent press praising it's chief butcher Steve Colabella it has become the place to go for those in the know. Steve has been written up by all the local papers because Mr. Colabella is a third generation Butcher who always wanted to be a butcher! It was and is his calling. He has mastered preparing and presenting meat, someone has called him a philosopher of meats, and he is also a great reference on how to prepare all the meats he cuts and sells. He welcomes the questions.

Owner Bobby Corton has been amazed how well the “Cottage and Shepherd (lamb) Pies” are selling. Years back in the East Village Bobby and I used to sample pies made by one Howard O’Brien who besides being a Harvard/Yale scholar was an amazing cook. While over in Ireland doing research for a school, Howard acquired some old time pub secrets to making the best Shepherd's and Cottage Pies. Eventually he passed them on to Bobby Corton. Now Bobby has been preparing the pies daily on the premises. Bobby has lived in Southampton for the last 29 years. His vision of a successful Peconic Prime Meats Butcher Shop has now been realized. It is located at 235 N. Sea Road in Southampton Village on the south side of Route 27.

For those who are wondering how the pies are priced you are in for a most pleasant surprise. The small Cottage Pies (beef) are $6.99 for a small one and $12.99 for the large (for 2) ones. The authentic Shepherd Pies (lamb) are $9.99 for the small ones and $19.99 for the large ones.
