Pierson High School Students Create Shadowbot Program For Local Fifth-Graders
The program was created to inspire students to gain interest in STEM education.

The Pierson High School robotics team recently created a new Shadowbot program for the Sag Harbor Elementary School fifth-graders in order to inspire them to gain interest in STEM education, specifically robotics.
During the weekly after-school program, the fifth-graders are taught a variety of skills by the 38-robotics team members.
To date, students have learned how to strip wires, take voltage readings and scout, which is a competition strategy to find ally robots.

Students also participate in scavenger hunts and watch robotics team members prepare their competition robot.
“We hope this program inspires elementary students,” Clint Schulman, Robotics Team advisor said.
