Southampton High School Senior Named Rotary Student Of Month

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — Southampton High School senior Kevin Nguyen has made the district proud: He's been recognized by the Rotary Club of Southampton as the Rotary Student of the Month for October.

Nguyen was honored for his dedication to his studies and school community. A member of his school’s robotics, model UN, varsity and math clubs he also serves as co-president of the Outing Club and is involved with the National Foreign Language Honor Society, Tri-M Music Honor Society and National Honor Society, the district said.

He is also the principal cellist in his school’s pit orchestra and symphony orchestra.

Nguyen also volunteers as a summer camp counselor at the Hamptons United Methodist Church and for the Southampton Youth Association. He plans to attend college in the fall to study computer science.
