Southampton School Staff Member Promoted To Senior Security Guard
Congratulations to Tieka Allen!

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — The Southampton Union Free School District has a new lead security guard.
The district, in an "ongoing effort to ensure the safety of all students, staff and visitors," said it has named Tieka Allen lead guard.
“We are thrilled to promote Tieka,” said Director of School Safety Franklin Trent. “She has proven herself as a leader who is dedicated to the safety of Southampton’s schools.”

Allen has been employed as a security guard in the Southampton School District since February 2017, the district said. To that end, she has been responsible for securing the premises and personnel, monitoring surveillance equipment, and inspecting all buildings and access points.
Allen's past posts included her work as a a therapy aide at Seafield Associates, working as a certified nursing assistant for Helping Hands of Westhampton and a stint as a security officer for Titan Security in Riverhead.

Allen holds an associate degree in criminal justice from Suffolk County Community College. She is also certified in CPR and holds a security license, the district said.
“I am grateful for taking on a role of responsibility, while never forgetting I am a team player,” she said.
