Video: Anna Wintour Takes the Ice Bucket Challenge
The Vogue Editor-in-Chief, in signature sunglasses, took the challenge at her house in Mastic
Anna Wintour, the Editor-in-Chief of Vogue, who is famous for being a trend-setter, switched roles and became one of the millions who have taken the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge (#IceBucketChallenge) and got wet for a good cause.
Wintour took the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge (#IceBucketChallenge) at her vacation house in Mastic, and Vogue taped it and posted it to Facebook. The video features Wintour in her signature oversized Jackie-O shades, surrounded by members of her family, as she gets doused with icy water. She nominated Roger Federer and Dominic West to take the challenge.
The Ice Bucket Challenge has gone viral raising awareness and donations for ALS, which is also known as Lou Gherig’s Disease. The ALS Association reports that as of Tuesday, August 19, the ALS Association had received $22.9 million in donations compared to $1.9 million during the same time period last year.
