A GoFundMe page, "Help Us Bring Shannon Home," was created by Tara Spring to help bring Shannon home from Florida.

"Shannon was taken from us on May 23," the page said. "Her passing was much too early for those of us who loved her. Shannon was a bright light in a cruel world. She is forever at peace. I am asking for your help to be able to bring our daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend home, to the place she grew up and loved. I know that's where she would want to be laid to rest. Any donation large or small will be greatly appreciated."
