22,556 Customers Without Power In Putnam: Video
NYSEG and Central Hudson have restored power to 61 percent of customers who lost power in Tropical Storm Isaias as of noon Thursday.
In Putnam County, 22,556 homes and businesses remained out of power Thursday morning, 40 hours after Tropical Storm Isaias tore through.

As of noon, NYSEG reported 21,047 customers out in Putnam County. That includes:

Central Hudson, which serves 5,000 customers in western Putnam, reported 1,509 customers still out.
Wednesday morning after the storm, there were 36,824 customers without electricity: CenHud reported 2,800 Putnam customers had lost power, while NYSEG reported 34,024.

Southeast Town Hall, at 1360 Route 22, will be open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday with the same hours for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Town officials are turning it into a "Comfort station" for phone charging and drinking/non-drinking water. Please bring your own container.
