371 Local Customers Still Without Power: NYSEG

Utility crews worked through the night to deal with Monday's devastating, damaging winds.

SOUTHEAST, NY — With fewer than 400 customers still without power, NYSEG focused on the last vestiges of Monday's devastating winds.

Most of the remaining outages were in Putnam County, clustered in Carmel, Stormville and Patterson. But 81 customers in northeastern Westchester were still without power as well, and 32 in Dutchess. Estimated restoration time for most is noon Tuesday.

NYSEG crews and contractors began making repairs and restoring service at dawn Monday as increasingly severe winds damaged the overhead electric system.
