40% Of Putnam Residents Have Had A Dose Of COVID-19 Vaccine
The county's coronavirus positivity rate is just under 5 percent.

PUTNAM COUNTY, NY — As Putnam reaches a milestone with 40 percent of its population having had a dose of COVID vaccine, the county's coronavirus positivity rate has hovered around 5 percent.
Statewide, the rolling 7-day average is 3.37 percent, while the Hudson region has slightly higher positivity rates.

One person died of COVID-19 in the county in the past week, bringing the total from the pandemic to 91. Compare that to Rockland County, three times larger, but with 10 times as many COVID-19 deaths.

According to the state vaccine tracker, 25,366 Putnam residents have completed the 2-dose vaccine series, and another 11,029 have had their first dose.
