940 NYSEG Customers Still Without Power In Putnam

PUTNAM COUNTY, NY — Thunderstorms sweeping through the Hudson Valley Tuesday left many Putnam residents without electricity.

As of 9:30 Wednesday morning, NYSEG reported 940 Putnam customers still out, most of them in Carmel.

The hamlet of Carmel was the hardest hit, with power outages on Fair Street, and in Kings Way and Woodland Trail. Also hard hit was the Carmel section of the town of Kent.
