Accused Of Rape In Peekskill, Philipstown

PUTNAM COUNTY, NY — The Putnam County Child Advocacy Center assisted the New York State Police in a case involving a child under 15.

After receiving a tip, members of the NYSP's Bureau of Criminal Investigation began investigating two instances of alleged rape.

Police accused Fabian Huiracocha Barbecho, 36, of having intercourse with the victim in both Philipstown and Peekskill.

Second-degree rape may be charged if a person is at least 18 and has sexual intercourse with another person who is younger than 15.

The Yonkers man was arraigned before the city of Peekskill court Thursday on two counts of Rape in the 2nd degree, a class D felony, and sent to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail, $30,000 secure bond, or $40,000 partially secure bond.
