Brewster Firm Helps State Cops Collect Food For Westchester Vets
Everything collected during the Martin Luther King Jr. Statewide Food Drive went to a veterans outreach and support agency.

BREWSTER, NY — New York State Police in Troop K, based in Poughkeepsie, announced that their recent food drive collected and donated 1,633 food items to benefit a Westchester charity with help from a Brewster-based business.
Everything they collected during the Martin Luther King Jr. Statewide Food Drive went to the Family Services of Westchester Veterans Outreach and Support Project.
Family Services of Westchester's Veterans Outreach and Support Project was created in 2012 to meet the needs of returning veterans and their families. Since then, FSW Veterans Outreach and Support Project expanded their services to veterans and families from all eras without restriction.

State police said their project was successful because of help from Ace Endico, the Brewster-based food distribution company.

Patch has partnered with Feeding America to help raise awareness on behalf of the millions of Americans facing hunger. Feeding America, which supports 200 food banks across the country, estimated that in 2020, more than 50 million Americans would not have enough nutritious food to eat due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic. This is a Patch social good project; Feeding America receives 100 percent of donations. Find out how you can donate in your community or find a food pantry near you.
