Brewster Schools Set Budget Increase at 3.1 Percent

School budget Includes a tax levy increase of 1.94 percent

The proposed 2016-17 budget for the Brewster Central School District includes an increase of 3.1 percent over the current budget.

Total proposed spending for the year is $92,767,066. The proposed increase in the tax levy is below the 3 percent tax cap mandated by the state.

The school district will hold an informational hearing on the proposed budget on May 10. The vote on the budget will be held on May 17. For more information, go to the budget page at the district's website.
