Brewster-Southeast Yankee Fans: Meet Mariano Rivera & Help Special Needs Kids
Legendary Yankee closer Mariano Rivera will makes an appearance Thursday in Danbury for a fundraising and Q & A event at the Danbury, CT PAL
Champion All Star Gym, a cheerleading facility in Danbury, is hosting a special event with special guest speaker Mariano Rivera. The event is a benefit to raise funds for Champion’s special needs program.
The former pitcher and Yankee great will appear for a Q&A session and a meet and greet at the fundraising event which will be held on Thursday, Oct. 16 at the Danbury Police Athletic League (PAL) building on Hayestown Road in Danbury.
The evening will kick off with an exhibition performance by the Country Stars, Champion All Star’s special needs team. After the performance, VIP ticket holders can meet, and be photographed with, the Yankee legend. A silent auction, raffles, autographed items, concessions and much more will be available.

The event will take place at the Danbury PAL Building and will benefit Champion’s Special Needs and Scholarship programs. The benefit starts at 6 p.m. and doors open at 5 p.m..
VIPs tickets are $84 per person. Bleacher seats are $20 for 17 and younger and $25 for 18 and older. Bleacher seats are $20 for 17 and under and $25 for over 18. All proceeds of the event will benefit Champion’s special needs program and scholarship fund. Donations are gladly accepted at any time.
