Businesses Of The Year: Aversano's In Brewster
The eatery was nominated by a customer for the friendliness and the food.

BREWSTER, NY — Customer Alisa Ferrara and her husband tried their best to make sure Aversano's weathered the worst of the coronavirus outbreak in the spring.
"We tried to order from there often," Ferrara told Patch. "They are always very giving to the community so we tried to do our little part to help them stay open. We did mostly take out in the early stages of the pandemic, and started going back as soon as the dining room was open."
To show how much they love the restaurant in the Town Centre on Route 22, she nominated it to Southeast-Brewster Patch as business of the year.

What she likes best about Aversanos’s is that they treat everyone like family, she said. "Paul and John are always around in the restaurant greeting people. We’ve had several parties there and they are our go-to for catering. My husband and I will typically go for dinner but do enjoy going with our family and friends."
Her menu recommendations (I would try this if I were you): the Asian Calamari, the veal or pork chop with vinegar peppers, and a classic cherry cosmo.

But that hasn't stopped many of our small businesses from continuing to offer the products and services beloved by their regular customers.
