World Gym Reopens In Brewster
Happy to be back, members are complying with pandemic protocols, said owners Paul and Joe Ciatti.

BREWSTER, NY — World Gym in Brewster has reopened, after being closed for five months during New York's coronavirus outbreak.
Rose Aglieco, Executive Director of the Brewster Chamber of Commerce, went over to welcome them back. "Joe and Paul are local family and community members and really care about their members," she said.
Gyms were one of many industries to close in the state March 16 when Gov. Andrew Cuomo issued an executive order in a bid to slow the spread of COVID-19. But when most regions in New York were about to enter Phase 4 of the state's reopening plan, fitness centers were excluded. Gym owners across New York filed a class-action lawsuit in July.

All members are required to wear a face mask, have their temperatures checked upon entering and follow all the social distancing and face covering rules within the building. The rearranged equipment allows them to keep proper social distance. Newly hired staff will sanitize all the equipment throughout the day.
"The members have been complying with the restrictions; they are happy to be back at the gym!" said Joe Ciatti.
Self-motivation is a great but having a team to support you is even better, they said.
"We hope to have classes to begin shortly and to reinstate the 24-hour-open gym," Joe Ciatti said.
