Double Lane Closures Set Friday On Northbound I-684

SOUTHEAST, NY — Double lane closures are expected on northbound Interstate 684 between Exit 8 (Hardscrabble Road) and Exit 9 (Interstate 84) on Friday. Crews will be doing utility work, weather permitting.

The lanes will be closed between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Anticipate delays. Seek alternate routes where possible.

Use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to flaggers and all traffic control devices, including signs.

Remember fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
