
Residents and business owners will have the opportunity to speak with officials about damages that are the result of Hurricane Irene. FEMA and the New York State Office of Emergency Management are coordinating the event, which will be held at the Mahopac Fire Department.
Registration is strongly encouraged. Call the FEMA Helpline at 1-800-621-3362 (the toll-free line is open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week) or visit www.disasterassistance.gov. Folks will be asked to provided their names, social security numbers, current telephone numbers and a current address.
