Federal Hockey League Adds Brewster

The Brewster Bulldogs is being officially unveiled Tuesday.

Big news for regional hockey fans: Brewster will have a new Federal Hockey League team for the 2015-16 Season.

The Brewster Bulldogs will play home games at the Brewster Ice Arena.

The league and team will unveil the team’s colors, logo and jerseys in a press conference at 9 a.m. Sept. 15.

Bulldog owners are Bruce Bennett and Ed Crowe; the team coach is David Lun.

The Federal Hockey League, created in November 2009, classifies itself as a Single A-level professional hockey league that emphasizes strong local ownership, high quality competition and affordable family entertainment.

During the 2015-2016 season the FHL will have 6 teams.

The season will begin in October with exhibition games against the Danbury FHL team. Information on ticket prices and an on sale date are forthcoming.
