H.H. Wells Middle School Organizations Donate to PFCS
Putnam Family & Community Services thanks the middle school staff and students for their ongoing support.

From PFCS: Two H.H. Wells Middle School student organizations recently donated $500.00 each to Putnam Family & Community Services (PFCS). The Student Council and the National Junior Honor Society were determined to continue a long-standing partnership between the school and PFCS.
For the past seven years, the staff at H.H. Wells Middle School in Brewster has hosted an Annual Italian Bistro Dinner, with all proceeds generously donated to PFCS. Serving over 300 delicious dinners and 30 batches of home-baked brownies, the entire faculty and staff lends a hand and shows their continued support for PFCS programs. Over $2300 was raised this year, funds that will be used to renovate the Great Room at PFCS, turning it into a welcoming, up-to-date training center for professional and community education in the area of behavioral health.
To add to the school’s generosity this year, the Student Council and the National Junior Honor Society each made their own contributions. “We are continually grateful to the staff and students at H.H. Wells for their generosity and philanthropy. PFCS has seen a marked increase in the number of children and families seeking help, and continued support from our partners allows us to provide services to improve the health of both individuals and the community at large,” states Diane Russo, Chief Executive Officer at PFCS.

In addition to the generous monetary donations, a recent book drive resulted in PFCS receiving brand new books to share with its younger clients. The books will reside in the recently updated Children’s Therapeutic Playroom, another project supported by H.H. Wells through its 2016 Bistro Dinner.
PFCS is so grateful for the generous efforts and continued commitment by H.H. Wells, and hopes to continue this wonderful partnership in support of its mission to foster hope, wellness and recovery in our communities for many years to come.
