Hudson Valley Snow, Rain: Hazardous Outlook For Orange, Putnam

When will the storm stop?

(Rachel Nunes/Patch)

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Higher elevations in Orange and Putnam counties could get 2-3 inches of snow Monday, the National Weather Service said in its updated Hazardous Weather Outlook.

Away from the coast, across the lower Hudson Valley, interior southern Connecticut and interior northeast New Jersey, snow accumulations of one to three inches is possible in spots before a changeover to all rain occurs. Temperatures will rise to the upper 30s to middle 40s, warmer along the coast.

The rain could be heavy at times late today and into the evening.
