Local Kids and Teens Perform in 'HAIRSPRAY'
Over 50 talented local students will take the stage at the Brewster High School Performing Arts Center this weekend.

From Spotlight Arts: Over 50 talented local students will be taking the stage at the Brewster High School Performing Arts Center this weekend to perform in Spotlight Arts Inc.’s summer mainstage production of “HAIRSPRAY.” Set in Baltimore in 1962, the lovable plus-size teen Tracy Turnblad, has only one desire – to dance on the popular "Corny Collins Show." When her dream comes true, Tracy is transformed from social outcast to sudden star. She must use her newfound power to dethrone the reigning Teen Queen, win the affections of heartthrob, Link Larkin, and integrate a TV network... all without denting her 'do!

Spotlight Arts’ mainstage program provides local students with a professional theatre performance education through a large-scale commercial production directed by industry professionals. Eric Leiggi returns to direct and choreograph the mainstage production with Spotlight Arts executive producer Stephanie Rubino as the production’s producer and musical director.

Spotlight Arts Inc.’s production of “HAIRSPRAY” will take the stage this weekend at the Brewster High School Performing Arts Center: 50 Foggintown Rd, Brewster, NY. Cast A performs on July 21 at 7:30pm and July 22 at 2:00pm. Cast B performs on July 22 at 7:30pm and July 23 at 2:00pm. Seating is reserved and tickets cost $15 each.
