PUTNAM COUNTY, NY — The Pudding Street interchange with the Taconic State Parkway in Putnam Valley is closed through July 1.

The new ramps and the new bridge were opened over the winter for residents; however, state transportation officials warned that closures would be needed when the weather improved to finish up the ongoing bridge construction and interchange reconfiguration.

The purpose of the $28.9 million project, visible already, is to eliminate the at-grade crossing and realign the parkway to increase sight distance and make the crossing easier to navigate. What's left is to tie in the approaches, replace a culvert and finish paving operations.
