Obituary: Cathy A. Mannfolk Of Brewster

Cathy A. Mannfolk (Durkin) of Brewster, NY died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on August 2nd, 2020. She was 70 years old.

Cathy was born in Mt. Kisco, NY on October 23, 1949 to the late Patrick “Joe” and Nancy Durkin. She attended St. Lawrence O’Toole school and graduated from Brewster High School in 1968. She worked at AT&T for over 20 years and later worked for the Village of Brewster until her retirement in 2018.

In her free time, Cathy could always be found in her craft room. As an avid crafter, she always loved making and selling her homemade crafts at fairs all over the Northeast. She also enjoyed gardening and spending time at her family’s lake house in Amston, CT. Cathy was an active parishioner of St. Lawrence O’Toole church her entire life.

Cathy is survived by her two sons; Michael (Amanda) Mannfolk of Wingdale, NY and Matthew (Crystal) Mannfolk of Baltimore, MD, and the joy of her life, her grandson Colton Mannfolk. Cathy is also survived by her siblings; Patricia (Richard) Lichtenberger of Mundelein, IL, Patrick (“PJ”) Durkin Jr. of Dovers Plains, NY, Michael (Norine) Durkin of Brewster NY, Barbara Pember of Brewster, NY, and was predeceased by her sister JoAnn (Butch) Lundy of Brewster, NY and her brother-in-law Paul Pember of Brewster, NY. Cathy will also be forever remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and life-long friends Richard “Dick” Brandt and Linda Smalley.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday at St. Lawrence O’Toole church in Brewster, NY with interment at St. Lawrence O’Toole Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Cathy may be made to the American Heart Association/ American Stroke Association, PO Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220-3049 and/or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
