Larry was an insurance salesman that loved the thrill of the sale and loved his career. He was an idea man that never took no for an answer. For those reasons, he was highly successful and was awarded salesman of the year several times. For the last 35 years he worked for Arthur J. Gallagher in White Plains, NY until his retirement in 2017. He was also a member of the Rotary Club of Carmel.
An avid golfer, Larry also loved cars, and precious time spent on great family vacations. He enjoyed life and rose, to face squarely, any challenge that came his way.
His wife, his daughters, his sons-in-law, and his grandchildren were dear to his heart; always concerned about, ‘When are the kids coming?’
Mr. Ruhs is survived by his wife Kathie, his daughters; Kimberly and Joseph Galantich of Hopewell Junction, NY and Heather and David Iglehart of Mansfield, MA, his grandchildren; Emma and Dylan Galantich of Hopewell Junction, NY and Jenna and Aubrey Iglehart of Mansfield, NY and his brother John T. Ruhs of Florida.
