Obituary: Lucia Stagno of Brewster

Lucia Stagno of Brewster, New York, passed away in Cortlandt Manor, NY, Saturday November 7, 2020 at the age of 72.

She was born February 6, 1948 in Casamassima, Bari, Italy, daughter of the late Vincenzo and Anna (LaBalestra) Vigliotti. She came to the United States 53 years ago, settling in Bronx, NY before moving to Brewster 19 years ago. On September 8, 1969 she married Luigi Stagno in Bronx, NY.

Besides her husband Luigi, Lucia is survived by her son Anthony Stagno and his wife Brenda of Hasting, MN; daughter Cesarina Stagno of Brewster, NY and Fiancee Robert Cardillo; Grandchildren Isabella and Abigail; five brothers and four sisters.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday November 12, 2020 at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church in Brewster at 10:00 am, followed by the interment in Ferncliff Mausoleum in Hartsdale, NY. Calling hours will take place Wednesday November 11, 2020 at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Ave., Brewster, NY, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
