The earth lost and the universe gained the bright soul of Margo Salinger, when she passed away suddenly on May 24, 2021. She was 33 years young.
Margo was born on March 28, 1988 in Carmel, NY, and was raised in Brewster, NY by her loving parents, Bruce and Maureen Keenan Salinger. Margo graduated from Brewster High School in 2006. She received a Bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University in 2010 and a Master’s degree from Fordham University in 2013.

Margo was a Human Resources Business Partner for NBC Sports in Stamford, CT, and then in San Francisco, CA for seven years. Margo took her work seriously and admired her managers and colleagues.
Margo was newly engaged to Graig Norden of Mahopac, NY, and was excited for their future together. Margo and her sister, Mallory, had just spent a weekend wedding dress shopping and celebrating being together and all that their futures held.

Margo was loved by so many – for she was hard not to love. Aside from her charming smile and adorable dimples, Margo was cheerful and had an infectious sense of humor. She was loving, genuine and very loyal. She had a passion for music and from many genres, especially folk and blues. Margo loved Graig, her family, and her friends, and she wanted everyone she loved to be close to her.
Margo is survived by her parents, Bruce and Maureen, her sister, Mallory Salinger Murray, her bother in law, John Patrick Murray, nephew Jack Bruce Murray and niece Louise Murray, as well as many aunts, uncles and dear cousins.
A memorial wake will be held on Friday June 4, 2021, at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY from 4pm-8pm. On Saturday June 5, 2021, from 10am-11am the family will receive friends and family at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at 11:45am at Old Southeast Cemetery, Route 22, Brewster, NY. Following the service Margo’s ashes will be buried in the family plot.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations are made in memory of Margo to The Brewster Education Department, Designation Music Program, P.O. Box 320, Brewster, NY.
