Police: Fugitive Found In Work Zone On Taconic Parkway In Putnam
An out-of-state warrant accuses the 19-year-old driver of stealing $180,000.
PUTNAM VALLEY, NY — A 19-year-old Brooklyn man who police said is a fugitive from justice in Louisiana was arrested Tuesday for a vehicle and traffic infraction on the Taconic State Parkway.
State police said they stopped a 2016 Nissan Altima at 11:20 a.m. for a vehicle and traffic law infraction committed in a work zone.
Their background search turned up an active felony warrant for the driver, Joshua Allen, out of Bossier, Louisiana, which accused him of stealing $180,000.

Allen was arraigned before the Putnam County Court and sent to the Putnam County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail, or $250,000 bond, police said.
