Putnam Civil Air Patrol fundraising for veterans remembrance
The Putnam County Composite Squadron is selling wreaths to pay tribute to veterans laid to rest in Raymond Hill and Gilead cemeteries.

National Wreaths Across America Day is an event dedicated to remembering the sacrifices veterans have made in wars since the American Revolution.
On Saturday, December 14, 2019 at noon, the Putnam County Composite Squadron will be helping Raymond Hill Cemetery to remember and honor our veterans by laying remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes.
A fundraiser is scheduled for October 20, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at ShopRite, 184 Route 52 in Carmel. The goal is to sponsor the wreaths needed to honor every veteran at the cemetery. Additional wreaths are needed to honor Revolutionary War veterans at Gilead Cemetery. Sponsorship starts at $15 per wreath; checks should be made payable to “Wreaths Across America” and submitted to the squadron.
