PUTNAM COUNTY, NY — Putnam County health officials have created a new coronavirus dashboard to give residents a wider range of information about the ongoing pandemic.

(Putnam County Executive's Office)

This dashboard pulls together state and local coronavirus and COVID-19 data in one place, including test-positivity rates, percent of Putnam population that has been vaccinated and more.

Close to one-third of the county's population has received at least dose of vaccine as New York enters week 16 of the vaccination program.

As the old dashboard did, the new one breaks down the case rate by town. The dashboard also shows the death toll in the county has risen by one in the past week, to 90. As of Monday, there were 11 people with COVID-19 hospitalized in the county.

At 5.2 percent, Putnam's positivity rate is about average for the Hudson region.

The dashboard can be seen on the county website here, which also includes coronavirus information for businesses and travelers, county news releases and announcements on the topic, tips to protect yourself and answers to frequently asked questions.

The initial version of the dashboard was released today. In future, it will be updated weekly on Fridays at 2 p.m.
